Crazy Season occurs in the fall from September to Mid-October. It is called crazy season for the moose wants to find a mate. The antlers also develop into hard bone. They use these antlers to get through shrubs and bushes.
Timing of a moose's birth is important. A moose born too early in the year could freeze to death. New moose stand three feet long and weigh 20 to 35 pounds.
