Grammarians wanted!

A newspaper firm has moved into town and is looking for expert grammarians to fill the available positions. The major part of the application is for you to prove your knowledge of word categories - parts of speech.





Your task is to research each part of speech and place the information in the form of a Web presentation, a PowerPoint presentation, or a Word document with images and links.









  1. Determine the information that needs to be gathered.
  2. Create a checklist.
  3. Agree on tasks for each team member.
  4. Research each Part of Speech.
  5. Record all findings.
  6. Organize findings for each category.
  7. Choose the type of presentation.
  8. Plan the design of the presentation (storyboarding). Consult your checklist to be sure you are including all the information necessary to prove your complete knowledge of each Part of Speech.
  9. Present the final product, along with the rest of your application, to the Editor-in-Chief.
